Some interesting sounding beers at least and they seem to make a "special" every month. And yes, I think their website doesn't do the brewery justice at all.

When and where else are you whizzing through? :)Barry Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07367655129107699025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943606491780538470.post-57877209955124590342010-05-31T17:56:10.495+02:002010-05-31T17:56:10.495+02:00Is Braustelle generally worth a visit? Talking about doing a beer with rosemary with a like-minded brewer in the UK as a kind of collaboration. Let's see :)Barry Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07367655129107699025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943606491780538470.post-29677502260895706772010-05-22T12:36:57.805+02:002010-05-22T12:36:57.805+02:00That rosemary beer sounds interesting - I'm a ...That rosemary beer sounds interesting - I'm a fan of the herb and have been toying with the idea of adding it to a belgian-style homebrew this autumn. Sounds like the one you had was a success!!Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05512660051158275112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943606491780538470.post-18419434126888064652010-05-18T09:34:31.878+02:002010-05-18T09:34:31.878+02:00I'm very glad to be wrong in this case.I'm very glad to be wrong in this case.Rob Sterowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07870233673933087794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943606491780538470.post-71361608160261233432010-05-18T08:17:05.121+02:002010-05-18T08:17:05.121+02:00To be fair, that picture was taken within the firs...To be fair, that picture was taken within the first hour and a half of opening, and I had been thinking that it was really tiny, nobody was coming, and it'd be a flop. But actually, it filled up nicely, with the other location being very lively, and not with serious beer geeks (though there were a handful that were easily identifiable!). The reason I didn't take more photos is I was to busy talking with these "norms" to be arsed :)

I don't think Germans are capable of doing beer in an anti-social way, and this tiny festival (and it was small, with maybe a dozen breweries) was pretty far from anti-social. But as you say, you're far away, and are making a judgment based on one photo.

As for the cure being worse than the disease, I'd gladly have more of these quirky little fests. They're only a drop in the ocean, so more like homeopathy in diluteness terms, and about as likely to make a difference :D

To be mean: you're clearly cynical beyond your years and you've never heard of creative commons ;)Barry Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07367655129107699025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943606491780538470.post-68836633940657395602010-05-18T02:15:54.006+02:002010-05-18T02:15:54.006+02:00That picture of the tent looks depressing. I'm sure the organisers don't intend this, but their milieu seems to me (from far away) to be introducing a rather anti-social and geeky approach to beer into Germany. I know there is plenty wrong with the beer landscape over there, but I wonder if the cure isn't worse than the disease.Rob Sterowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07870233673933087794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8943606491780538470.post-79009694083608339942010-05-16T22:35:37.841+02:002010-05-16T22:35:37.841+02:00Yes, it certainly tasted like it was hopped.
